Nottingham Jazz Orchestra Featuring Hugh Pascall
Join us for an exciting evening of jazz as Nottingham's own trumpet virtuoso, Hugh Pascall, takes the stage with the Nottingham Jazz Orchestra. This event promises to be a celebration of exceptional talent and captivating music.
Hugh Pascall studied at the Royal Academy of Music and the Paris Conservatoire, graduating with a first-class degree in Jazz. In 2023 he was elected Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in recognition of his significant contribution to UK jazz, and in 2024 began teaching at the Academy. Described by the BBC as having 'a magical tone… stylistically, melodically, motivically, this is special,' Hugh is one of Nottingham's most celebrated jazz exports. He has sold out the Pizza Express Jazz Club twice and recorded with the BBC Big Band and Jacqui Dankworth. A thrilling evening of big band jazz is guaranteed.
