The gigs take place in the comfortable, friendly hall at the Royal British Legion in Beeston — a proper local venue with a great atmosphere, not a formal concert hall. There's no dress code, just come as you are and enjoy the music.
Doors open at 18:45pm and the band kicks off at 7:30pm. Expect around two and a half hours of live big band jazz, usually with a short interval — perfect for grabbing a drink from the fully stocked bar. Tickets are just £10 on the door (£5 for students), payable by card or cash.
Parking is free on site, the venue has full disabled access, and the room is set up with tables and chairs so you can settle in and soak up the sound in comfort.
Most importantly, expect to be blown away. NJO is a 17-piece professional big band that has been performing to packed houses since 1978 — with a rotating cast of world-class guest artists that you'd normally only see at Ronnie Scott's!
